Lanark Village Golf Club

Lanark Village sports a 9-hole golf course that is open to the public. The course is maintained by the Golf Club whose work is supported by a monthly yard sale, an annual golf tournament, and other activities.

In 2020, our course was played by golf aficionado Jay Revell, who wrote about his experience in Golf magazine. Revell’s article does a great job of capturing Lanark's laid-back vibe and commitment to our communal spaces. You can read what he had to say here.

In 2024, members decorated their wee golf carts as part of their St. Patrick’s Day celebration. After a loop around the streets of Lanark Village accompanied by residents’ applause, they drove their carts to the American Legion Hall for green beer, corned beef, and cabbage. No snakes were spotted en route.

The course is also the home of the Lanark Village children’s Easter egg hunt. The event was initiated In 2023 by resident Jonathan Brucker who continues to coordinate it. Sheriff Smith kicked off the festivities in 2024, and volunteers from around the Village worked to make the event a success. It promises to provide a basket full of fun and games (not to mention tasty Easter treats) for years to come.
