Gene Sewell Park

Gene Sewell Park provides a shady respite from the Florida sun for Lanark’s picnickers and dog walkers. The park was named for a beloved resident who in 2004 was chosen as the “Queen of Lanark Village.” Though Gene Sewell passed away in 2014, no one else has been granted the honorific, and the royal slippers remain unfilled.

Picnic tables and a grill are available for outdoor dining, and the benches are a great place to observe the area’s rare white squirrels. A dog-walking station is provided and maintained by Lanark volunteers.
